The Craftsman Behind Every Fence

Meet Liam, Keltie

Hi, I'm Liam. My mission is simple: to give local homeowners complete peace of mind with fencing that's built to last.
When you get in touch, I'll personally visit your property, assess your needs, and provide honest, straightforward advice. I take pride in using proven construction methods like heavy-duty screws instead of nails and deep concrete footings to ensure every fence stays strong, straight, and secure for years to come.
From the first consultation to the final installation, you can count on quality workmanship, clear communication, and a fence built the right way.

Our Core Products Include:

Professional Fencing Solutions

At Original Fencing, we specialise in delivering high-quality residential fencing services across Frankston and surrounding suburbs. We combine premium materials with unmatched construction techniques, and the right specified concrete to ensure your investment never leans.

Wooden

Classic treated pine palings deliver privacy, security and a timeless look that blends into any Frankston home. Built on proper footings, a timber fence lasts far longer than most homeowners expect.

Aluminium

Aluminium balances clean modern lines, clear sightlines, and serious durability. It is the ultimate low-maintenance option for front boundaries and pool surrounds.

Colorbond

Sleek, modern, and low maintenance. Colorbond steel delivers maximum privacy with almost no upkeep, which makes it a favourite among Frankston fencing customers with busy households.

Exposed Post and Cap Fencing

Timber with a sharper, architectural finish. Exposed posts and capping turn a standard boundary into a feature.

Custom Gates

A premium fence is only as secure as its entry point. We build matching timber, Colorbond and aluminium gates tailored to your access points, hung to swing smoothly for years.

Fences Act 1968 (Vic)

Sharing the Cost with Your Neighbour: How Victorian Fencing Law Works

Most Frankston fencing enquiries involve a shared boundary, which means a second owner and a second opinion.

50/50

Who pays
The Fences Act 1968 (Vic) sets out how that works. Adjoining owners are generally liable to contribute in equal proportions to a sufficient dividing fence. If one owner wants something above that standard, that owner covers the difference.
30 days
To respond
To start formally, you serve your neighbour a Fencing Notice setting out the proposed works, materials and estimated cost. Your neighbour then has 30 days to respond. If you cannot agree, the Dispute Settlement Centre of Victoria offers free mediation, and either owner can apply to the Magistrates' Court.
Liam has walked plenty of Frankston homeowners through this. We supply an itemised written quote you can hand straight to your neighbour, which removes most of the friction before it starts.

Four steps

How the Job Runs

01

Call or email Liam and describe the boundary.

02

Free on-site assessment.

03

Itemised, with no surprise additions.

04

Installation and walk-through.

Answers

Frequently asked questions

What makes Original Fencing different from other fencing contractors Frankston homeowners consider?
We get the structure right underground. Posts go to the correct depth for the soil, footings use load-bearing 40 MPA concrete, and cross rails are screw-fixed with 100mm Class 3 galvanised bugle screws rather than nailed.
How much does a new fence cost in Frankston?
Cost depends on length, material, height, access, slope, soil conditions and whether the old fence needs to be removed first. We price what the specific job requires rather than quoting a generic per-metre rate, and the on-site quote is free.
Who pays for a fence between two properties?
Under the Fences Act 1968 (Vic), adjoining owners generally contribute equally to a sufficient dividing fence. If one owner wants a higher standard, they cover the difference. Our itemised quotes make that conversation much simpler.
Do I need to give my neighbour notice before fencing works start?
Generally yes. A Fencing Notice sets out the proposed works, materials and estimated cost, and your neighbour has 30 days to respond. Liam supplies the written quote you will need to attach to it.
How long does a fence installation take?
Most residential Frankston fencing jobs run one to three days on site, depending on length, terrain and access. Concrete footings need curing time, so we sequence the work properly rather than loading rails too early.
Should I repair my existing fence or replace it?
That depends on the framework. If the posts and rails are sound and only palings have failed, a repair makes better financial sense. Liam assesses the full run on site and gives you the honest answer either way.
Which fence material lasts longest in Frankston conditions?
Colorbond and aluminium handle coastal salt and wind with minimal upkeep, while treated pine delivers warmth and privacy at lower cost. Liam matches the material to your exposure, budget, and street presentation.
